It is safe to say that there are differences between the western world and the middle-east. Many of these differences can be found in everyday life. Like media and advertising. In the West, an ad campaign, as it seems, simply cannot go wrong if a steamy image is involved. But that doesn’t mean that people in Saudi Arabia and Iran, are such big fans of bikinis, mini-skirts, revealing and sexy clothing. At least they rather not showcase all the above in public. So, when advertising content reaches these countries, from the West, in order to be okay with their religious rules, certain changes have to be made.
Simply everyone has to be subjected to this toning down process. Including Lady Gaga, H-Lo, Britney Spears, Mariah, Shakira and so many others. Sometimes the results of their photo editors, are up to par… But oftentimes the finished product is not looking so good and professional.
