“The Death of Conversation”: Disturbing Images of Our Modern Day

A London-based street photographer who goes by the pseudonym babycakes romero has released a thought-provoking new series lamenting our modern day ‘Death of Conversation.’

 It seems everywhere you turn these days you’ll see groups of people ignoring each other in favor of staring down at their smartphones.

The series is something I’m sure we’ve all noticed, and probably many of us have been guilty of it as well.

Romero’s hope is that this series will cause us to rethink our actions, rediscover the art of conversation, and “break-free” from our smartphone obsession.
