What can we say about this movie? One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a 1975 American drama directed by Miloš Forman. A touching, beautiful and powerful film about a person’s struggle against life; a commentary on human relationships, injustice and authorities. Starring Jack Nicholson, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was based on the 1962 novel by Ken Kesey.
Jumpstarting the careers of Christopher Llyod and Danny DeVito, the film went on to win the “Big Five” Academy Awards at the 48th Oscar ceremony. In 1993 the United States Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in their National Film Registry, as it was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
