Britain’s Goldgenie has recently added a men racing bike embellished with 24 Karat gold to their collection of gold-plated objects. Every inch of the bicycle has been gold-plated from handle bars to gear clusters and it costs around US $39,1017.
Goldgenie is famous for gold-plating various household objects including gold-plated, Swarovski-studded iPhones and iPads among which iPhone6 was priced at US $4,692.21. This time they have taken things to the next level with gold-plating a racing bike.
The talented artisans of Goldgenie team took a Giant Defy 3 aluminum framed road bike and gold-plated tips of the handlebars, spokes, derailleur, chain and every single cog on the gear clusters. San Marco suede saddle, handlebar grips, and the SR4 racing tires are the only portion of the bike to be covered in a sophisticated black color. Both the San Marco suede saddle and SR4 racing tires are limited edition models.
The bike looks more beautiful when in motion as the spinning spokes catch the sunlight and ripples along the golden frame. The designers at Goldgenie are currently working on different finishes on the saddle and handlebars which include exotic skin, fine leathers and a variety of precious stones.
