Artist Makes Gigantic First Eco-Mural Made From 200k Recycled Bottle Caps

The mural took 2.5 months to make and can be seen in Plaza Escalona in El Hatillo Municipality, Caracas

 

23-year-old Oscar Olivares from Venezuela, who has been making headlines recently with his gigantic mural made from bottle caps.

He teamed up with local environmental organizations to create a stunning eco-friendly mural made entirely from recycled bottle caps. Oscar hopes this project brings awareness to the ecological issues that are present in the city of Caracas and beyond.

It took 2.5 months to plaster over 200,000 various plastic caps on a wall of a small square, Plaza Escalona in El Hatillo Municipality, Caracas. The mural extends a total of 45 meters in length, measuring 3.5 meters at its shortest point and 7.25 meters at its highest point.
