Amazon Fires: Residents of Sao Paulo Share Apocalyptic Photos of Their City

This is Sao Paulo at 3:30 PM!

Well it is not Gotham during the night. It is Brazil’s most populous city, Sao Paulo in the early afternoon. This city plunged into darkness by a horrifying layer of thick, black clouds. And that of course happened because of the raging Amazon forest fires. It seems that smoke clouds from that catastrophe slowly made their way to this metropolis of South America. And as we know, where there are clouds, there is rain. And the rain that fell during this phenomenon, which looks like an apocalyptic event, was as black as pitch. It stank of smoke as well.

The sky’s darkening lasted for a few hours before slowly creeping away.

And so we don’t get confused, the rainforests lie 3.000km (or 1,7000miles) away from Sao Paulo.
