She ‘whips her hair’ at her leisure, she wears ‘Ain’t no Wifey’ tees and she changes her style whenever she feels to, mixing the girlier with her most tomboy clothes. Did I mention she’s only 14 years-old? The daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith has already joined the ‘Free the Nipple’ movement in the most respected way possible and she’s an active supporter of the black women empowerment movement. What’s one of Willow’s requirements when it comes to clothing? To be comfy and stylish enough to let her climb a mountain and express her music and personality, all at the same time.
Willow is not just another young girl, who came into the spotlight way to early. She’s a teen role model and when it comes to self-expression, critical thinking, feminism and social issues, she seems to keep a perfect balance between her childish and grown-up self. Her style is not there to impress or provoke, to make her seem older than she actually is. She dresses to show the word another side of herself, as she does with music.
