This Giant LED Star Installation In Malaysia Is The Best Thing You Will See Today

Malaysian artist and architect Jun Ong created this site-specific installation for 2015 Urban Xchange public art festival.

The Star, one of many light sculptures from Ong, is built from steel cables and over 500 meters of LED light. Steel rods fan out from the sculpture’s spherical center, piercing through the building’s foundation in an acute interconnected network of light. The sculpture looks like a colossal neon 3D spider web bursting from the third floor of a run-down building in the Raja Uda suburb of Butterworth, a city in mainland Penang.

Amazing!
