Unconventional shoes have always been a thing for haute couture designers, as they embody their bizarre character, unique skills and vivid imagination. In Greek artist’s, Costa Magarakis, case, each shoe tells a different story.
His bright designs are composed of strange settings, forming from animals to small towns and surreal worlds. “I often find archetypes in old children’s books and toys. I am attracted to things that evoke memories from childhood. The grotesque and the unknown are all important themes in the body of my work. I try to express something from my inner mind,” he writes on his website.
