The National Geographic Travel Photo Contest, is an annual contest that honors photographers, travelers and explorers, who through their camera lenses, allow us to travel with them. Travel to take a look at serene villages, admire wild animals, awe at majestic landscapes. This year’s winner is Weimin Chu and his “Winter in Greenland”. The prize is 7,500 dollars. Other winners (in other categories) include Tamara Blazquez Haik’s “Tender Eyes” in the Nature category. And Huaifeng Li, who won 1st place in the People Category.

How would you feel if you asked a friend to babysit your cat and instead of just taking your cat back, you would get a photoshoot of your furry friend too? This is what happened to Miranda McDonald when she asked her friend, who happens to be a great photographer, to babysit her cat! Her friend goes by the name Josell Mariano, who after this incident, undoubtedly, will be asked repeat the babysitting/photoshoot combination, for other animals as well.

Some would profess that those 54 seconds were better written than the entire season 8 of Game of Thrones. A couple of weeks after, one of the biggest letdowns in the history of TV , a YouTube channel named Eating With Famous People has created a voice over video so successful that you almost believe it is a real scene from Game of Thrones. Even though it is fake, it is safe to say that the GOT community needed that, in order to have some sort of real closure.

Yazi Yolcusu is a Turkish artist who uses a fork dipped in ink to write in a calligraphic way/style on a paper. When British Egyptologist Howard Carter found by chance the tomb of Tutankhamun, which was unearthed in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings, no one could have known what “treasure” awaited them inside.
