Italian artist Riccardo Mannelli illustrates a series of beautiful scenes depicting lovers’ intimate moments.
Unlike the idealized way having sex is showed in the movies, Mannelli portrays couples hugging and caressing one another. His detailed work in combination with the natural beauty of his subjects, create an unforced eroticism that allows the viewer to be inspired and identify with the imagery, as Mannelli’s models are not stiff, perfect models, but people with beautiful real bodies.
The immediacy and tenderness with which they express themselves is perfectly captured, as these aging, tattooed people with body hair, seem to be in absolute sync with their partners. The artist celebrates love and beauty in the most pure way, as these “imperfect” people seem to be the most complete, during their most intimate moments.
This is an ongoing series by the artist, with which he proves that no cliches are needed to present something so beautiful.
