Despite the known and, let’s face it, quite obvious dispute about their name’s pronunciation, gifs are admittedly a great favorite on the Internet. What happens though when gifs meet art and historical photography? Apparently, something really good, if we judge by Nicolas Monterrat’s Tumblr page, called Un gif dans ta gueule…The French artist, who specializes mainly in animation, motion graphics and digital art, tweaks renown images, turning them into surreal, absurd animated pictures. His gifs, usually comical, sometimes bizarre and always eye-catching, are undoubtedly unique.
