Marc Johns is the kind of artist who creates the most imaginatively smart illustrations, in which his characters get involved in the most surreal situations. And while his fans are always more than happy when he shares new work on his blog or his Facebook page, they’re going to be thrilled with this!
Whenever the British Columbia-based artist touches the paper with his pen, magic happens. This time he secretly worked on a project, which will be the perfect gift for his thousands of fans. He released a book titled, The Daily Artist, something between a journal, a drawing book and a crossword magazine. The book features illustrations, riddles and text that entangle the reader into a artistic storm of thoughts and games.
Johns aims to help his readers with a series of creative exercises. He wants to makes them see the world a little bit differently and get them artistically motivated. He also urges them to work on the book and share with him the results, as he’d love to see how they perceived his work and how it inspired them.
When Johns is not posting his art on his blog, he is either working on a book, his products or for clients like National Geographic, Wired, Newsweek and even Google.
