Her photomontages are evidence of a brilliant and uniquely minded individual, who derives immense pleasure in creating her photographic artwork. The artist is always trying to find similarities between nature and the human body so she can merge them into twisted pieces of art.
Monica starts from photos taken by her and after finding similarities based on shapes, colors or textures she digitally modifies them, so an arm is cut into slices as if it were a loaf of bread, a brown iris becomes a cake and a butterfly wing becomes a lip.
