Kirovsk-based photographer Fox Grom was out for a breath of fresh air with his two Siberian Huskies when they stumbled across a frozen lake that was covered with rainwater. Grom and his Huskies then took a stroll on the surface of the frozen lake. “I always take pictures of my dogs whilst walking them, but on this occasion there was an extraordinary phenomenon” the photographer and all-terrain vehicle driver told the Daily Mail. That phenomenon was the fact that his dogs appeared to be walking on water, as the ice of the lake’s frozen surface wasn’t distinguishable.
The result of this unusual excursion is a series of surreal photographs, depicting Alaska and Blizzard -Grom’s beautiful Huskies- delving into the ethereal landscape with enthusiastic curiosity. With their magnificent figures reflected in the water beneath their feet and the lake’s bottom in sight the entire occurrence resembles fairytale scenes that take you to another world.
