Photographer Brett Stanley‘s stunning photographs of underwater pole dancers truly manage to capture the beauty, the physiques and the skills of its subjects.
For Underwater Pole Dance/Fitness, the dancers had to change and re-think their routines as the zero-gravity of the water made things more complex than they seem.
“Over the past decade I’ve photographed many performance artists, from Trapeze and Aerials to Fire Breathers and Stilt Walkers, and I’ve always wondered whether we could take these talents and put them underwater. I’ve talked before about my love of the ocean, so this was a natural idea for me,” the photographer explains.
