Erik Jones is a Florida-born, New York-based artist who creates vibrant paintings, focusing on his female subjects’ body, anatomy and colorful mentality.
Having worked in the comic industry, Jones mixes pop styling with figurative painting, creating worlds were women are people of many dimensions and qualities. Using brights colors, abstract shapes and distinct patterns, the artist creates his works adding illustrative details and digital-like features that result to a series of unique paintings.
Blended of many different elements, Jones’ work has a harmonious balance that highlights his figures and the way they have been created. By working with different types of media, both material and digital, the artist gives equal weighting to all, in order to allow them to stand out as a whole.
