The Spanish Elena Gual paints enigmatic series of female portraits.
Elena Gual is an abstract artist known for her expressive, distinctive brush stroke patterns that impart a more gritty texture in her paintings, textured elements were incorporated into the creation of the business card to showcase her technique and style of application. The arrangement of lines, shapes, and space are designed in an abstract way to reflect the type of artist she is.
Elena has been painting since the age of 16 and exclusively studied the use of color and its techniques ever since. She mastered her studies at the “Florence Academy of Art” in Florence and New York for 4 years, which concentrated on the deep study of classical drawing and painting. Since then, she continued studying at Saint Martins School of Arts and at the Royal Academy in London, mastering all the techniques of other artist such as Matisse while studying the aspects of curating in the art world.
“As a self-taught photographer, I explore the connection between photography and paintings. I create paintings from my own photographs, yet there are also instances where I believe that a photograph cannot be improved and should be left as such” Elena states on her website.
