Meet the Black-throated Tit. AKA the Bushtit. The Black-Throated Bushtit, that is.
Birds’ plumages are like the flowers of the animal kingdom. Vibrant colors, unusual hues, intricate patterns, bold color combinations. And the variety, they seem never ending. So today we are presenting to you the black-throated tit, aka the bushtit or black-throated bushtit. That is its actual name; mind you, and not some kind of joke. This majestically beautiful little bird is only 4 inches small (10.5cm) and weighs in at around 4-9 grams only! That is just 0.14-0.317 ounces.
Recently, the cute little birdie with its funny little name, was photographed in a quite stunning series by Chen Chengguang. Chen Chengguang is a Taiwanese wildlife photographer who specializes in bird photography and captured these little birds in a way that truly does them justice.
