They say that home is where the heart is, and in this case the heart must be definitely holly as the home is a former church.
For this family in Chicago, the beautiful building that used to host service is now their single-family home, boasting seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. Linc Thelen Design and Scrafano Architects collaborated for this project, which was as tricky as conversing a church into a home sounds.
They designers and architects of the project, renovated the inside completely, while they kept the shell intact, offering the new residents the chance to enjoy the majestic stained-glass windows and bell tower, combined with their contemporary, minimal decor. The result of this combination is a stunning juxtaposition between traditional and modern designs, patterns and details.
