Because Sometimes Your Cat Just Needs an Armoured Fighting Vehicle Designed for Front-Line Combat – LOL!
So, we knitted beds for our cats, clothes for our cats, constructed elaborate cat-trees and houses – now it’s time for…tanks? Apparently it is! Cardboard tanks that is. It is truly a great idea, incredibly cute and fun. And it fits perfectly to the personality of the cat, right? Essentially an intricately designed cardboard box. Show me a cat who doesn’t love a good old cardboard box. And we are sure most cats would love their little cardboard tanks as well! (Maybe even their true self will come out now that they hold this awesome power in their paws? Lol)
If there is one thing that quarantine has taught us, is that there were myriads of creative people out there that just needed a little free time on their hands, in order to create incredible DIY projects!
Garry Stevenson, guardian of Mittens, a man responsible for one of these cute little cardboard tanks, actually gave an interview online, about his project.
“Someone in my Facebook newsfeed had shared a picture of a cat in a tank a while back… [Mittens] is mostly calm and collected, apart from when we all go to bed, then she runs about the house like a maniac. She also takes a toy to the top of the stairs around 1 AM every night and howls which is both annoying and cute… I work from home anyway as a graphic designer, my wife is a carer with a Scottish charity, so it’s business as usual for us. We do have two kids around all day every day, but they’re pretty good at amusing themselves and can video chat with their friends. Overall, we can’t complain, others aren’t so lucky.”

Quarantine day 11: my mom build a tank for our cats.
Every cat needs a tank to defend their castle. I can’t tell you how frustrating this was to build.
The cat tank is coming along nicely…however General McTubs jacked me up for not having added a co-axial gun and some grenade launcher type system.
Day 43: The cat is not as nearly as impressed as I am.
Inspired by another post to make my cat her own tank

Dom has been seeing others make tanks for their cats so he had to try his hand at it. I’d say he did a pretty good job!
This is what we did today.
