Koen Hauser works as a photographer and visual artist. He is known for his intangible body of work flowing between fine arts, fashion and applied photography. In his series Modern Atlas of Anatomy, Hauser combines his love for beauty and his interest in the uncanny.
“Modische Atlas der Anatomie (2000) was created by means of two personal fascinations, anatomy and fashion photography. The – at the time – groundbreaking way of applying digital manipulation in this elegant dissection of the human body has made this series very popular. Ever since it was first published, it has featured in numerous magazines and websites,” he explains on his website.
