Dinosaur Eggs Discovered By Construction Workers In China

When a crew of construction workers where working on a road in the city of Heyuan, Guangdong Province, China, they came upon a shocking discovery!

They discovered 43 fossilized dinosaur eggs, including 19 that were fully intact. The city of Heyuan has been given the nickname “Hometown of the Dinosaur in China,” as since the 1990s thousands of dinosaur eggs have been discovered in the area, while in 2004 The Heyuan Museum received a Guinness World Record  for having the largest collection of dinosaur eggs in the world -a total of 10.008 eggs.

According to the museum’s curator, Du Yanli, finding fossilized eggs is something common, due to the red sandstone formations in the area.
Now we have to wait for the eggs to be analyzed and their species to be determined, the results of which will make this discovery even cooler!
