Blood on her hands
by Margot Pierce
Portland-based artist Tom LaBonty after spending hours in thrift stores, rummaging around for ceramic figures, had a pretty unusual idea: he decided to give all these heartwarming pieces that grandmothers cherish a black-metal makeover! In Coffin Collector, LaBonty’s Etsy store, you can find all kinds of spooky ceramics. From a little Dutch boy hauling a bunch of body parts in his buckets instead of milk to a black-metal Holy Family, ceramic figurines will never be the same. Check it out!
