Samuel Masters for Art-Sheep

To those of you big “Lord of the Rings” fans, here comes a very exciting piece of information. A team of crazy architects and structural engineers and- quite obviously- avid LOTR enthusiasts is employing the powers of crowdfunding to build a real-sized replica of Minas Tirith. With the aspiration of raising $2.82 billion, the crew and its leader Jonathan Wilson, plan to start their work in 2016 in Northern England and have it completed by 2023.

In the project’s page they state, “We all share a love of Tolkien’s work, and a desire to challenge the common perception of community and architecture. We believe that, in realising Minas Tirith, we can create not only the most remarkable tourist attraction on the planet, but also a wonderfully unique place to live and work.”
