They advised me to take a holiday because it would be enjoyable.
Except when it isn’t.
Because the truth is, no one is exempt from their vacation going from ripe to sour in no time, no matter how wonderful the photos on social media are, what the travel blogs say, or what the summer getaway packages promise.

The same may be said about holiday photos.
It’s no secret that having amazing images is a big part of why people travel.
Something to brag about on your Facebook page, something to post on Instagram, something to flaunt in front of your friends and coworkers, since humans are vain and it doesn’t take much to make us happy.

This is a safe space to discuss difficult topics.
So, if your fantasy vacation photos have ever come crashing down like a sand castle, know that you’re not alone.
At some point during our vacation, we’ve all looked like lost potatoheads and sunburned crabs, been photobombed, or been deceived by the weather.
