Bob Gruen is something like an archbishop for the Rock & Roll music scene. Having photographed the biggest names of music, Gruen always achieves a unique artistic result, making his work stand out.
Gruen is well-known for his work as a personal photographer for John Lennon, during his time in New York City, with Lennon’s popular photo wearing a New York City t-shirt being his. Apart from Lennon, Gruen has taken some gorgeous photos of musicians such as Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Led Zeppelin, New York Dolls, Blondie, The Ramones and The Clash. “Photography has led me to some great experiences and enduring relationships,” the photographer says about his art and the people he met through it.
