Courtney-Love-Kurt-Cobain-wedding-1992-1

The marriage of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love was the exact opposite of the fabulous, celebrity wedding: with no paparazzi, no security guards, no fuss, the wedding was held on a cliff in Hawaii, performed by a nondenominational female minister and attended by a few friends and roadies.

Kurt and Courtney’s wedding was held shortly after Nirvana concluded their Pacific Rim tour, on February 24, 1992. At the time, Love was already pregnant with their child, Frances Bean, who would be born in August later the same year.

The Nirvana frontman was dressed in green flannel pyjamas while the bride wore a dress that once belonged to Hollywood’s tragic actress, Frances Farmer. Cobain is said to have cried; Love, it is said, did not.
