There’s no reason innovative design has to be limited to traditionally ‘cool’ or pricey objects like cars or high-end furniture. With his Flamingo Crutch, Turkish designer Can Guvenir proves we our limited only by our own imaginations.
The ergonomic crutch is comprised of leather-wrapped metal, with Can taking the unique approach of viewing it as an extension and part of the body, rather than just a utilitarian object of annoyance. It’s twisting form absorbs shocks and spreads it throughout the form, minimizing discomfort to the user. And quite frankly, it just looks darn cool.
