STHLM Panda is a Swedish organization which describes itself as an organization “doing social experiments, joking with people and documenting the society we live in”, including Halloween and elevator pranks. Their most recent “social experiment” though had a much more serious tone and its results are unfortunately tragic.
After setting up hidden cameras inside a lift, two members of STHLM Panda who pretended to be a couple, would join strangers inside the elevator. The boyfriend would then start being abusive against his girlfriend, physically assaulting and swearing at her. As the experiment showed, only one (!) person out of 53 reacted to what seemed to be a scene of domestic abuse, with most of the people simply ignoring the scenes that took place in the elevator.
