Colleen Jordan Creates Adorable Miniature Gardens Inside 3D-Printed Planters

Melissa Faithful for Art-Sheep

How would you like the idea of carrying your garden with you wherever you go?

Colleen Jordan is an Atlanta-based designer and artist who creates cute miniature vases, designed to carry small succulents or pocket-sized flower arrangements. Jordan’s Wearable Planter is the perfect springtime accessory, as it can become a necklace, a pin, a ring and even a bicycle handle.

The planters are 3D printed out of nylon. After they’re printed out, they’re dyed and sealed with acrylic varnish, to make them rain-protected and maintain their bright color. These vessels’ flat bottom, make them suitable for more uses than jewellery, like decorating your desk.

Every piece is influenced by a place Jordan has visited—including Sweden, Hawaii, and South Carolina, while her aim is to “create things to make life more pleasant.”
