Holly Williams for Art-Sheep
When looking at the creations of artist James R. Eads, it is easy to spot the Van Gogh influence there: swirling night skies brimming with bursts of neon colors against a jet black background and luminous scenes of human closeness or mystical, yet exceptionally tender glimpses of nature. In his magical illustrations it is as if the LA-based artist allows us to peek into a series of captured moments, playing with movement and the juxtaposition of light and darkness in a poetic and slightly surrealistic way.
