Melissa Faithful for Art-Sheep
Nude photography is one of the most common, popular and fun genres of artistic photography. Many artists and photographers have created masterpieces with nothing more than simply the beauty of the naked body. One of New Zealand’s best-known photographers, John Crawford, took nude photography a bit too far -and by far we mean high, with his series “Aerial Nudes”.
Crawford captured aerial images of a naked model laying naked at interesting locations forming a star shape with her body. The addition of her nude figure to the aesthetically special scenery enhances the feeling of how small humans are in comparison to the world. The Auckland-based photographer manages to marry nude and landscape photography in the most creative, beautiful and, of course, dangerous way.
