Keith Haring and Grace Jones, two of the most inspiring and unique artists of the second half of 20th century worked together and created nothing less than pure artistic magic.

For the video of her song I’m Not Perfect and her live performance at New York City’s Paradise Garage, Jones wore Haring’s geometrical body paint. Becoming the canvas to his work, Jones allowed Haring to create an innovating image, a contemporary symbol to art and fashion.

Haring was well known for his work as a street artist and the political and personal issues his works demonstrates. Embracing street culture and the notions of the primitive and the experimental, Haring left a legacy that still inspires many artists and activists, like himself.

In the images below we see Haring preparing Jones for her role in Vamp (video) and her live performance.
