Art Student’s Faucet Concept Design Creates Embellished Shapes And Saves Up To 15% OfWater

Bruce Louis for Art-Sheep

Simin Qiu, a London Royal College of Art Student, designed this fascinating faucet that makes water swirl into enchanting geometric patterns soon as the tap is turned on.

Not just an object for the sake of cool design, though, this faucet is also friendly to the environment, using up to 15% less water than mainstream faucets. The small amounts of water that are “weaved” from the faucet into elaborate designs, look like fine crystal glassware. In addition to this elaborate water pattern, the faucet itself is nothing more than a simple curve after the minimalistic fashion, making the concept an aesthetic delight on the whole.
