Animal Chairs is a whimsical furniture series, designed by artist Maximo Reira. Portraying many and different wild animals, like elephants and whales, these chairs look like imaginative thrones for little kids -or tamers.
The animals sculptured on these chairs are either cut in the half or missing a part of their body, in order to leave some room for the person to-be-sat. What’s amazing is how the textures of these pieces, feel like real animal skin, while their exceptionally designed appearance tricks the viewer who stands in front of their faces, as from a certain stand point, they indeed look real.
A beautiful example of quality industrial design.
