Advertiser Derrick Lin has found a very creative way to deal with the evils of office work. Instead of bottling up his work-related anxieties and frustration, he decided to make the best of them by bringing a little magic into the routine of everyday office-life.
Lin, with his iPhone, a reading lamp and some miniature figures as the only tools at his disposal, recreates his thoughts on work problems and situations. This is a way for this impromptu director to document his “eventful career”, as he calls it, by posting his pictures on his Instagram and Tumblr feed and has already gathered quite a following.
“I am inspired by how there is always a positive light in seeing almost everything. Combined with my passion for detail, imagination, and humor, my delightful little pick-me-ups have resonated with many people on the internet and I am pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I receive.”
