Ezra H. Murray for Art-Sheep
Cath Riley is one of those artists that are startlingly masterful in their chosen field of Art. Just like Bernini, who was a true master of marble, Riley uses her pencils to create amazing photorealistic drawings of close-ups. ”The drawings are part of an on-going evolutionary process of exploration and development,” the artist writes in her website, “and thus serve only to mark and represent a particular stage in my abilities and understanding”.
This project is called “Flesh”, a word as plain yet fully descriptive as Riley’s drawings.
