Jonathan Stone for Art-Sheep

So Record Store Day has passed and we hope you all had a blast, listened to a lot of music and bought many records.

And while you and me celebrated this day by drinking beer and listening to music, professional face painter Natalie Sharp aka Lone Taxiderm, payed her dues to the history of music in an incredible way.

Sharp created face-paintings of famous albums, like “Velvet Underground And Nico” and its Andy Warhol artwork, that are very faithful to the original and artistically beautiful. Most of the images below are not just good photographs of a good face-painting result, but in my opinion, they could be more than appropriate album artworks themselves.

Apart from an homage to albums, this series of images can be perceived as an homage to oneself, as our favorite albums are so well engraved in our minds and hearts, they could be as well painted all over our faces.
