Agape Charmani for Art-Sheep

No professional wants their kids around their computer, notebooks and work files, let alone an artist whose whole work is based on their own free artistic expression.

Mica Angela Hendricks is an illustrator and graphic artist. As any working mother would do, Hendricks would never leave her sketchbook anywhere near her four-year-old daughter, as she knew she’d want to draw on it. Until little Myla said something that would break even the most strict mother. “If you can’t share, we’ll have to take it away.”

These words broke Michaels, who had no other choice but to give a chance to her “little boss” to put her money where her -big, mouth is. After allowing her daughter to finish one of her sketches, Hendricks continued this adorable and fun collaboration, and soon, mother and daughter had created a whole collection of interesting works.

Not only did Myla enjoyed working with her mother, but a while after they stopped working on sketches, she asked her mother if she had any “heads” for her to finish. Hendricks states what an amazing experience working with her daughter was and how many things she gathered from that experience.

We are not sure whether the artist and her creative daughter continue their collaboration, as Myla is now 6 years old and she probably spends most of her time learning about the world at school. What we can be sure of though, is that when there’s love and positive energy, amazing, inspiring and beautiful things happen!
