Do you remember those ‘80s movies that featured future scenes of suave individuals flying around the city on their super cool hoverboards?
Well, It would seem like this imaginary future may not be as far as we thought. The Guinness world record for the farthest flight by a hoverboard has been set by inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru. Using a propellor-based machine that he both designed and constructed himself,this Canadian visionary,flew over Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada, for 275.9 meters.
Although his record was set with his design flying over water, Duru claims it has the capability of going extremely high, making us wonder about what that may mean for future transportation.
