UK-based artist Joe Webb creates amazing collages by mixing up different images found in newspapers and magazines on buses, trains and bins!

Webb’s creations seem to put different eras in dialogue, as nostalgia and loss are blended with modern world and culture and the images produced speak the hard truth. A Gucci ad becomes and abandoned scenery of garbage, Kate Moss is walking in a whole different “runway” next to African men and women searching for water, Ariana Grande’s stage mist maker is replaced by armed policemen and tear gas – each of Webb’s collages is a powerful comment on our modern world and its people.

“Joe Webb (1976) uses vintage magazines and printed ephemera that he has collected to create simple but elegant hand-made collages, no Photoshop manipulation is allowed. Webb reimagines the imagery using simple and concise edits, transforming the original scene into something altogether more surreal.”
