New York-based artist Rose Freymuth-Frazier works on figurative painting with a dark, twisted approach, giving an unpleasant life to her various female subjects.
References from a wide line of art history can be found in the artist’s work, with Freymuth-Frazier drawing her inspiration from great masters such as Rembrandt, but also the art of kitsch. Her imagery discusses important issues like violence, sexuality and childhood development, focusing on the female mentality.
