Agape Charmani for Art-Sheep
Marlie Mul is a Dutch artist based in Berlin and London.
Her series of puddles, is a line of works, usually one would encounter while walking on the street. Made out of sand, stones, resin and of course, a plastic bag, Mul’s pools of mire are perfect replicas of real puddles, while when seen up close, the visitor gets the feeling of actual pavement or street puddles, due to the smoothly realistic way they have been constructed and the bitter lyricism of their content.
